Introduction/Purpose
You are invited to participate in a voluntary research survey: "The Role of pelvic imaging in the diagnosis and treatment of deep infiltrating endometriosis" . Physicians with a background in gynecologic surgery are being asked to participate. The research project is being conducted by Nicolas Johnson, MD, OB/GYN PGY-4 at University Hospitals/Case Western Reserve in Cleveland, OH. It will take approximately 5 minutes to complete.
Participation
Your participation in this survey is voluntary. You may refuse to take part in the research or exit the survey at any time without penalty. You are free to decline to answer any particular question you do not wish to answer for any reason. We hope to gather responses from about 50 individuals. You will complete the online survey via REDCap Link provided below. Please fill out every prompt for completion.
Benefits
There will be no direct benefit to you by your participation in this research study. Your participation in this study might help us understand how providers who routinely workup and treat endometriosis use MRI and other imaging modalities in their practice, and observe the role of MRI in perioperative planning for patients with endometriosis.
Risks
There is no physical risk to being in this study. The results of the study will be anonymous and stored securely in a survey database.
Alternatives to Study Participation
The alternative to participation in this study is to NOT participate. This will not affect any future endeavors.
Financial Information
Your participation in this study will NOT involve cost to you. You will NOT be paid for participation.
Confidentiality
Your survey answers will be collected within the UH REDCap system where data will be stored in a password protected electronic format.
No names or identifying information would be included in any publications or presentations based on these data, and your responses to this survey will remain confidential.
It is possible, that in the future, additional research sites may be added. In this event, the data collected during this research project may be shared with research personnel at these additional sites.
Summary of your rights as a participant in a research study
Your participation on in this research study is voluntary. Refusing to participate will not affect your current employment or practice. If you decide to join the study, you may withdraw at any time and for any reason without penalty or loss of benefits. Deidentified data from this study may be published, presented, or otherwise made publicly available. If this happens, your identity will not be revealed.
